Financial Services
Foundation Health Services offers financial services that can be customized to meet the requirements of lenders, bondholders, trustees or management staff.
Among the services we provide are:
- Time and attendance and payroll processing with analytical reports (includes reporting of federal, state, and local tax requirements)
- Accounts payable processing and monitoring/management through end-of-year processes
- Cash management and forecasting; full bank reconciliations
- Market basket comparison of products in group purchasing organizations
- Analysis of savings with group purchasing organization programs
- Monitoring compliance with established formularies and contracts
- Audits, budgeting and forecasting
- Creating pro-forma statements for new or expanding businesses
Financial reporting includes financial statements per Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and proper general ledger coding for cost reporting and maximization of revenue streams through reimbursement methodologies. We also have expertise in Chapter 11 Reorganization reporting requirements.
Human Resources/Risk Management
Foundation Health Services’ Human Resources/Risk Management (HR/RM) department has many years of experience and offers proven resources for our clients in both long-term care and assisted living settings. Among the issues we handle are benefit consolidation, implementation of time and attendance and payroll systems, and corporate compliance enforcement.
Among the services we provide are:
- Employee handbooks and HR policy and procedure manuals
- Interpreting and enforcing company policies
- Coordinating with employee unions to negotiate collective bargaining agreements; interpretation and enforcement of same
- Equal Employment Opportunity policy compliance, in addition to protecting employees’ rights to fair and equitable treatment
- Compliance with HR-related state and federal laws and regulations
- Minimization of worker’s compensation and utilization of an early return to work policy
- Worker’s compensation audits
- Negotiating superior solutions for property, general liability, automobile, and other types of insurance
- Administering Family Medical Leave Act and COBRA policies
- Employee and supervisor training in areas such as discrimination, workplace violence,
employee discipline, and effective communication
Technology/IT Services
The Foundation Health Services IT team has a strong background and experience in building and supporting technology and projects for many types of healthcare providers. Our services include both internal support and administration for our business outsourcing systems as well as stand-alone or managed-IT services through our subsidiary, Interactive Solutions, LLC.
Among the services we provide are:
- Full IT administration and support (remote or on site)
- Server-based/thin-client hosting or cloud solutions
- Network design and management
- Security design, administration, and support
- IT monitoring and proactive response
- IT site surveys and assessments
Affiliate Services
Our team is also available to provide direction and support in the following areas:
- Financial performance analysis of your operations to include a review of controllable costs such as staffing, raw food, medical supplies, and more
- Continuing education (CEU) offerings of NAB-approved courses
- MDS training and review
- Medicare RUGs reviews to ensure accurate documentation for capturing appropriate RUG levels
- Medicaid case mix reviews

Surveys
We offer support and follow up throughout the survey process, including:
- Staff education of the survey process
- Mock surveys in either the traditional or QIS survey protocol
- Assistance with plan of correction, IDR requests, post-survey monitoring for compliance
